# Linear Integration # Linear Integration Linear has no built-in time tracking. Chronoid fills that gap: your issues become suggestions while you log time on your Mac, and your tracked time can be summarised back onto the issue itself. ## Create a Personal API Key 1. In Linear, open **Settings → API → Personal API keys**. 2. Create a key and copy it. In Chronoid, open **Settings → Integrations → Linear**, paste the key, and click **Test Connection**. ## Choose Which Teams to Import Linear organizes work by **Team**, and that is what Chronoid imports from. Pick the teams you actually work in, then narrow with: - **Only issues assigned to me** - **Include completed issues** (off by default) - **Only issues updated in the last** 7, 30, or 90 days Click **Import now** for an immediate sync; Chronoid then refreshes in the background roughly every 15 minutes. ## Link Time Entries to Issues Start a time entry, type in the title field, and pick a Linear issue from the suggestions. The entry is now linked to that issue. ## Push Time Back to Linear Because Linear has nowhere to store a time entry, Chronoid adds **one link on the issue summarising your tracked time**. It is updated in place as your time changes and is never duplicated, so an issue you have worked on for weeks still carries exactly one Chronoid link. Only entries you linked to a Linear issue are sent. ## Related Guides - [Task Integrations overview](/docs/integrations) - [ClickUp integration](/docs/integrations/clickup) - [monday.com integration](/docs/integrations/monday) For help, email [support@chronoid.app](mailto:support@chronoid.app) --- Source: https://www.chronoid.app/docs/integrations/linear
