Invoice Generation
Chronoid can turn tracked time into invoices without leaving the app. It stores your invoice defaults, loads billable hours, calculates totals, and exports a PDF.
Create Your Invoice
Configure Invoice Defaults
Open Settings → Invoice before creating your first invoice.
The settings pane includes:
- Your Information for sender name, address, email, and phone
- Default Client details you reuse often
- Billing Defaults for hourly rate, app currency, invoice prefix, and payment terms
- Payment Instructions for bank details or payment notes
Tax Support
Chronoid can add tax directly to invoices.
Enable Add Tax to configure:
- a tax label such as VAT, GST, or Sales Tax
- a tax rate percentage
When tax is enabled, Chronoid includes tax totals in previews and exported PDFs.
Currency Conversion
Chronoid can also show invoice totals in a second currency.
If you enable Show Conversion, you can:
- choose the target currency
- use a manual exchange rate
- turn on Use live exchange rate
- fetch the latest rate from within the settings pane
This is useful when you bill in one currency but want a reference amount for a client in another.
Create An Invoice
- Open the invoice flow in Chronoid.
- Create a new invoice.
- Review the generated invoice number, issue date, and due date.
- Load billable hours for the right date range or projects.
- Adjust line items if needed.
- Export the final PDF.
Loading Billable Hours
Chronoid can pull tracked hours into invoice line items automatically.
Use date and project filters so each invoice reflects the correct client work. You can still add manual items for expenses, fixed fees, or adjustments.
Tips
- Set the app currency correctly in advance so reports and invoices line up.
- Use project filtering when you invoice multiple clients from the same Chronoid database.
- Review tax and exchange rate settings before exporting client-facing PDFs.
