Manual Time Entry
Manually add time entries for offline work like meetings, phone calls, and pair programming.
Manual Time Entry
Chronoid tracks app and website usage automatically, but some work happens away from the screen — meetings, phone calls, whiteboard sessions, or pair programming. Manual time entries let you fill those gaps so your time records are complete.
Create a New Entry
- Click Add Entry (or use the right-click context menu on the timeline)
- Fill in the details:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Title | What you were doing (e.g., Team standup, Client call) |
| Notes | Optional details or context |
| Project | Assign to a project for reporting |
| Billable | Toggle on to include in invoice calculations |
| Start time | When the activity began |
| End time | When the activity ended |
The duration is calculated automatically from start and end times.
Quick Time Adjustments
Use the -15m and +15m buttons to quickly adjust start or end times in 15-minute increments. This is faster than manually editing the time fields for small adjustments.
Edit an Existing Entry
To modify a manual time entry:
- Double-click the entry in the activity list, or
- Right-click and select Edit
All fields can be updated after creation.
Tips
- Default is the last 30 minutes — New entries default to a 30-minute block ending at the current time, so creating entries for a meeting you just finished is quick
- Use for stand-ups and recurring meetings — Create entries for regular meetings to keep your time records accurate
- Mark entries as billable — For client meetings and calls, toggle billable so they appear in invoices
- Assign to projects — Always assign a project so manual entries show up correctly in stats and reports
