Your Chronoid database stays local. If you use a local provider such as Ollama or LM Studio, prompts and tool results stay on your Mac too. If you choose a hosted provider, Chronoid sends the prompt and relevant tool context needed to answer that request.
What AI providers does Chronoid support?
Chronoid supports OpenAI, OpenRouter, DeepSeek, Gemini, Groq, Anthropic, Cohere, Mistral, Perplexity, Together AI, Ollama, LM Studio, Apple Intelligence for on-device suggestions, and custom OpenAI-compatible providers. Provider settings include API keys, base URLs, model IDs, connection tests, and available-model fetching.
Can I use Chronoid data from other AI clients?
Yes. Chronoid includes a localhost-only MCP server so external clients like Claude Desktop can query your data through the same read and action tools, with local host and origin checks.
