Your Productivity Data Never Leaves Your Mac

Chronoid is local-first. Every app you use, every website you visit, every document you open — all stored in a local SQLite database on your Mac. No cloud accounts, no cloud sync, and no required activity-data uploads. Optional share analytics can be turned on only if you choose.

1 · Data stays local

All tracked activities are written to a SQLite database in Chronoid's Application Support directory. No internet connection is needed for local tracking and reporting.

2 · Keychain & signed licenses

License keys, API keys, and other secrets are stored in the macOS Keychain. License responses are verified locally with signed responses and nonce replay protection.

3 · Export anytime

Export your activity data, inspect the SQLite database, or keep automatic daily backups with configurable retention. You stay in control of the local archive.

Key Benefits

No Cloud Uploads

Your activity data is not uploaded to Chronoid servers. No cloud sync and no uploads of the apps, websites, documents, or projects you track. Optional share analytics are controlled from settings.

SQLite Database

Your data lives in a standard SQLite file you can inspect, query, or back up with any SQLite tool. No proprietary formats, no lock-in.

Automatic Backups

Chronoid creates periodic local backups automatically. Restore from any backup point if needed. Works with Time Machine too.

Full Data Export

Export your complete time tracking history as CSV or PDF. Your data is always portable and never locked behind a subscription.

macOS Native Security

Chronoid requests macOS Accessibility permission when needed and labels incognito/private windows as "Private Browsing" instead of tracking their titles.

Keychain Secrets

License keys, API keys, and other secrets live in the macOS Keychain instead of Chronoid's activity database or plain-text settings files.
