What’s New
The What’s New screen is a version-stamped window that appears after Chronoid updates to highlight notable changes. It gives you a quick overview of what has changed without having to dig through release notes.
When It Appears
After you update Chronoid to a newer version, the What’s New screen opens automatically when the app launches.
It only appears when there is new content to show for the version you just installed. If a release has no highlighted features, the screen is skipped entirely.
What It Shows
The screen is organized into a few clear sections:
- the app icon and a “What’s New in Chronoid” header with the current version
- scrollable sections describing each highlighted feature
- a footer with actions to continue
Past releases have highlighted features such as Screen Time Sync, improved imported activity details, device filtering, and Safari URL enrichment.
Footer Actions
The footer at the bottom of the screen lets you move on or take a contextual action:
- Get Started dismisses the screen and returns you to Chronoid
- Open Screen Time Settings dismisses the screen and takes you straight to the Screen Time settings pane when a release introduces Screen Time features
These contextual actions change depending on what is being highlighted.
Reopen It Anytime
If you dismissed the What’s New screen and want to see it again later, you can reopen it from the menu bar under Application → What’s New.
The screen then appears exactly as it did after the update.
